It has been quite some time since I last read or listened to one of your posts, my friend. Your positive enlightenment came today, inadvertently in an email, reminding me of the power of love! This email appeared to me right at a moment when I was experiencing anxiety and despair. Of course, this was related to what some would call a toxic relationship.
We all go through difficult times, relationships and experiences! Some days are harder than others to handle BUT keeping love as our north star allows us to rise above the darkness of our thoughts.
I want to send you my love and gratitude, my friend. Thank you for helping me and many others through our individual journeys.
P.S. I have been blessed to count you as a friend since we used to spend time, almost 2 decades ago, playing tennis in McCarren Park. I miss your energy, my friend! Thank you for appearing in my life at the most appropriate times.

Scott, you are exactly correct, in my humble opinion, to remove people from your life that believe in hate of anyone, anywhere. It’s simply not healthy and nothing but negative energy can come from a person who hates.
Your biblical references are on spot. I Protestant~ Dutch Reformed… and my midwestern relatives, I do not talk with, they believe in conversion therapy.
What a sick thing to do to a person. This way of thinking, I believe that It’s ingrained in their hardware….and you are correct, that they cause people to hate people.
Unfortunately, the current Pope doesn’t believe in being gay or trans.
I am writing to him that his view concerns me as he has turned off a large part of the world, that my son is gay and that when he shared that with me via text while I was living in another country. I wasn’t shocked. I sat there and said, yes, I knew this since he was a little boy. I replied, Thanks for sharing and I love you and I taught you love and that I love who ever you love.
To the new pope~ God loves each and everyone of us just as we are…..and that will never change. Perhaps you have been taught that being gay is immoral. Perhaps, this notion enabled you to go thru your adolescent years. I’m not sure.
We know what we have been taught.
Pope Francisco taught us, with reference to being gay~ “Who am I to judge?”
His memory is eternal.
