Portugal Update: One room (as a single or double) just opened up for our November retreat in Portugal, so if you missed your chance because it sold out fast, then consider this your moment.
Thank you for this reminder. I’m going through a rough period of anxiety/depression it seems endless….and I do indeed feel stuck. I’m not sure what will eventually move the needle in a better direction but I do hope it happens soon? any advice when caught In this loop?
Hi Frances. First, sending you a huge hug and lots of love. That's not a fun place to be. When I'm mired in darkness, I repeatedly remind myself This Too Shall Pass. Sometimes none of my tools seem to bring relief and holding on to the truth that nothing last forever can be one saving grace. Maybe get in conversation with your anxiety / depression. Write a letter to yourself from your anxiety and let it share with you why it's in your life. Do the same with depression. I've found that it can create some relief to foster friendship even with the parts of ourselves that we feel are harmful. You may be surprised by what your anxiety has to tell you; it may spark something in you that actually helps you to get unstuck. Also ask yourself: where and when do you tend to feel most peaceful, most grounded? Then, as much as you are able, prioritize making time for those activities and habits. I understand that when we feel depressed or anxious it can be very hard to do the things we know are helpful, but even baby steps count. Nothing last forever, no matter how endless it feels. A question that just came to me for you to ask yourself many times a day (if it resonates): What can I do to love and support myself in this moment? As much as possible, follow those answers with even the smallest action. Sending you so much love and a deep prayer that you find yourself on the other side soon. 💜🙏💜
Simply beautiful (…)
