Awareness is where it's at!! That's not something that comes easily to em and so it's been a bit of a slog so far, as I work on being more aware of my thoughts and feelings. But it's a practice, isn't it? And I am willing and I am showing up. And the next step (for me) after awareness is making a different choice to stay in alignment of how I want to show up in this world. It's tough work, but I am worth it.

As always, your sharing is so timely for me! Thank you! I LOVE YOU!

Big, big love xxoo ❤

That was Beautiful Scott! So true and so Needed! Thanks for the reminder if that's what I want, then that's what I should give out more, which I try so hard to do everyday anyway but this put a Big smile on my face today. You Always Brighten up My Life!!! Karey. 🥰🥰🥰🦋

Thank you so much Scott for the support. I am taking a personal challenge of shifting my life paradigm from the selfish, angry, impatient lane over to the selfless, kind, non-confrontational lane. To change my core behavior after 50 years is quite a challenge and you have been a huge part of the inspiration, motivation, And guidance.

As you said, it’s never perfect but I’m done being overwhelmed by anger and selfishness. It’s all unnecessary noise I create on my own. Thank you for welcoming me into a new lifestyle, trauma, culture and being.

Thank you so much for sharing this, Bob. To take on shifting anything after decades takes a lot of courage and a lot of trust. You’ve got this, brother. Your heart will lead you right where you need to be. Lots of love. 💕

Those moments when I find myself pushing myself to do something I am really not enjoying doing, contain so much information about what I have adopted through my conditioning as beliefs. Understanding this has assisted me not only to change the action but to consider do I want to continue to believe this belief ?

An example was recognising that a particular yoga position was not what my body wanted but I continued to do it (and dread exercising) because I have believed the "experts" know better and I am just being lazy or unmotivated. Seemingly a healthy belief. But actually my body knows best for me - and as I have slowly come to see, my body adapted itself to early trauma and so it is not holding itself in the true alignment of a body. Therefore a yoga posture designed for a true alignment is actually unhealthy for a traumatised body.

It is a cultural belief that we have been fed through education systems and the ways society is set up that we are all the same and therefore science works the same on everyone. Largely we have accepted standardised education, health, therapeutic interventions, ideas about value as true without questioning them. Your video is not only speaking to feeling a sense of control from within but also a validation in my eyes of the unique expression of your(our) true nature. This is something that we have been conditioned in so many many ways to go against .

In my view it's not that we are being imperfect, but we are conflicted between what we have been told by others that is good for us and what we know to be true for us. The imperfection is in the conditioning, not in us -

As always Scott the warmth of your soul shines out like a radiant lighthouse. Thank you
