I recently 'lost myself', or maybe it's more accurate to say that I 'forgot myself'. I forgot my connection to the Universe and my heart and I lost the ability to love myself. One thing I did remember to do was to reach out to someone, and she asked me to act 'as if' I remembered how much I love myself and to do the next thing I might do if I remembered who I was - and that worked! Not at first, it took some practice, but before long, I was acting 'as if' and the next thing I knew, I was back in my heart, with my mind, heart, and gut aligned once again. Hopefully, the next time I lose myself, my serenity, and or my ability to love myself, I will remember this practice.

When I haven't forgotten myself, I meditate using your "Commit to Loving Yourself" meditation on Insight Timer. It's such a powerful self-love mediation for me. Also, I have a specific journal for 'joy and love', where I share my experiences of love and joy, and I refer back to it often, firstly, to remind myself of what brings me joy and love, and secondly, to revel in AAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLL the joy and love I have created in my life! Reading about those experiences never ceases to lift me up and fill my heart.
