Hi Scott-- I too am kind of devastated and sad. Feeling down on humanity right now, so I'm just keeping to myself and my dogs. I enjoy the quiet and it helps me to feel a bit more peaceful. In a couple of days I will venture out into the world again but for now I'm just disappointed. I'm indulging in things that bring me comfort and peace. I'm happy you are in my world my friend and brother and we will all rise smarter, stronger and more determined than ever to live in a world of peace, brotherhood and love

Hi, I'm also devastated by the news, and feel concern. I am trying to override my fear with love, and try to remember everything happens for a reason. A lot of my friends voted differently than me, and it's hard for me to be around them. I don't know where to put my energy, and I too have to recover.

A beautifully reflective piece. Opens the heart to greater acceptance and love for all...

This spoke to me most today - "We pick the issues we care about the most, and we make our compromises along the way. Who’s to judge what issues should matter the most to each of us?"

I have been dealing with this divide within my very self, in the context of a relationship; struggling with 'having' to make compromises along the way, judging within myself what issues I should care about most... working on acceptance vs resistance of what clearly/already.. is. Including frustrations, including missed messages, including my ability to see myself.

Thank you for your thoughtful piece.

Reminds me of the great song "TILTED" by Christine and the Queens. The trees hold me like no other, especially in times such as these. They whisper, "We have been here before, we will be again."

I am too devastes with the elections results.

Narcissistic and socio pathic behaviors successfully divided our beloved country. The best way to destroy a country and a democracy is to conquer and divide. Then too, there’s the

Scorched Earth Policy~ If I can’t have it, you can’t either~ so we will all be blown up. I believe these personality illnesses have gotten us where we are.

I have turned off the news and social media. One can’t be well if what they hear and see are of negative energy.

I agree with you Scott, I just have to love myself, my grown children, my family and others and not go to negative

energy. It’s a tall order however positivity, light and love and the advent season is for me the only way to go.

For instance,

There was a woman in our laundry facility that was very cruel in her words to me. Afterwards, as I was folding my laundry, I found one of her expensive socks clinging to my sheet. My husband said “Don’t give it back.” I thought deeply about this little inconsequential incident. After reading what you have shared here, I’ve decided that

I will put it in her mailbox.

Have a beautiful day.
