Hi Friends,
In my ever-evolving relationship with social media, I’ve decided that I’m done (at least for now) with Facebook and Instagram and will give my energies to this newsletter, BlueSky, and the mindfulness and meditation app, Insight Timer.
My buddy David, with whom I’m leading this November’s retreat in Portugal (very few spaces left, just FYI), who is himself a meditation maestro, has been nudging me to get involved with Insight Timer for several years. Some switch flipped inside recently, and I feel energized to share meditations and talks and live events on the site.
Speaking of which, my first live talk last Friday was a complete bust. There were technical difficulties, and I spent about ten minutes talking to a group of people whom I don’t think were able to hear a word I said, and then the feed cut out. Not a great first showing. If you were there, apologies for the glitchy feed.
Tomorrow, Friday the 17th at 11am EST, I’ll be live again for 30 minutes and am confident all the tech stuff is worked out. I’m going to give the same talk: How do you want to feel in 2025?

As we move into this new year, let's engage our imaginations, and our capacity to visualize what it is we want to create, so we can set about creating it. My hope is that you'll leave this talk being more connected to your inherent power, and more willing to express it. Please have pen and paper handy as you will likely want to write some things down.
I’m also really excited to share that I’ve got a brand new, 10-minute meditation up on Insight Timer. It’s called A Self-Love Meditation: The Messages of Your Heart. If you need a little lift, some cheerleading, or a reminder of how worthy and lovable you are, I recommend checking this meditation out. You don’t even have to meditate. Just put it on and let yourself be taken into deep connection with your heart. Let me know what you think of the meditation.
The thing about the heart: it never lies, and it’s always aware of your beauty, your strength, and your worthiness. When we find ourselves mired in self-abuse, lost in the false notion that there is something inherently wrong with us, we can choose to connect with the energy and messages of our all-loving heart. We can choose (with intention and commitment) to invite in the energy of love and listen to the guidance it has to share with us. We benefit from doing so, every single time.
If you’re feeling it, take a moment right now, close your eyes, connect to your heart and ask it to share three words it would use to describe you. I just did it, and these were the first three words to come through: loving, sincere and compassionate. How about you?
There’s so much insanity in our world, and just as much in our minds. But every time I melt into my heart, all I feel is love, for myself and everyone else. It’s such a pure and compassionate place to be. So one of my intentions this year (and for many years prior) is to become more and more connected to the wisdom of my heart. To rest there often, so that I can remember my worth as well as the worthiness of others, my humanity as well as the humanity in everyone else.
A prayer I hold for all of us is that we may allow ourselves to be led most often by the wisdom and compassion of our hearts. That we come to understand love as our greatest healer and commit to being examples and messengers of love. I don’t know of anything that would change our world more profoundly.
Thanks for being here y’all, and for keeping your hearts open to yourselves and one another. You are worthy, beautiful and enough, just as you are.
