Hi Friends,
I felt like pulling a card for us as we enter into a new week. Pardon the somewhat abrupt ending. As I was finishing I was thinking that I didn’t do a great job with the reading and wasn’t going to share it. Then I watched it and feel there’s some good stuff in here. It’s true I’m not as eloquent as I’d like to be, and it’s also true, like all of us, I’m my toughest critic. Anyway, blah blah blah. I hope you benefit from this reading. I love you.
As always, I’d love to hear what the reading brought up for you? What insights did you glean from this card? How does it relate to your life in this moment?
Here’s the card:
Here’s the deck:
These days it’s less about my reactions and more about how I’m reacting to my reactions. Which is to say, no matter my reaction to whatever is before me, it is within my power to offer myself grace, and to love myself no matter what. To remember that I am human. It is within all of our power to do these things. And why wouldn’t we?
Wishing you all a beautiful week ahead and so much love,
Scott
Hi Scott. I just came in after spending about three hours in my Sacred Earth (my garden) and saw your post. Thank you for being so honest and real in your readings and musings.
The reading, and you, reminded me to give myself some grace for being human. I try to consciously respond rather than just react, but this was a good reminder that it’s OK and normal to react but then I can choose how to respond.
I look forward to meeting you because I will be in Spain with you and David !! and I am very much looking forward to it.
Much love,
Scotty
Hi Scott
I'm grateful that you posted your reading despite your initial misgivings and self-censorship.
I chaired a 12 step recovery meeting yesterday where the topic was ACCEPTANCE and we shared at length about our REACTION to the physical, emotional and spiritual world we live in.
It was beautifully synchronous that your reading of the REACTION card replayed so much we discussed yesterday.
I must add that the subject line in your mail last week "Come To Spain With Me!" elicited the reaction "Okay, Yes I Will !"...
How I wish I could..
I worked (and played) in Barcelona and Madrid with Cape Town Opera in 2014 and 2015 and travelled there as a tourist (camping trip) with a good friend in 1994 - and I would so love to return .
Doing so as part of a meditation retreat with you and David would be amazing.
One day..
Love to you, and thank you !
Roy
